A Burger King restaurant on Sandy Plains Road was robbed Thursday night and Cobb Police are looking for the suspect.

Cobb Police spokesman Officer Michael Bowman said in a release that the suspect is a male, race unknown, and was wearing all black clothing and a mask to hide his face during the incident.

Bowman said the suspect entered the restaurant, located at 2716 Sandy Plains Road -- between East Piedmont Road and Post Oak Tritt Road -- around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

The robber demanded money from the registers and the store safe and fled the scene after a few minutes in an unknown direction with an unknown amount of cash, Bowman said.
