East Cobb Bank Is Robbed
A man received cash from the Fifth Third branch inside a Roswell Road Kroger store Wednesday.
Cobb County police are searching for a man who held up a bank inside an East Cobb grocery store Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, the robber approached a teller at the Fifth Third Bank inside the Pavilions at East Lake Kroger, 2100 Roswell Rd., shortly after 1:30 p.m.
The man handed the teller a note demanding money, then received an undisclosed amount of cash and left on foot, police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said.
Pierce said the robber is a white man around 5-foot-8 and 30 years old. A bank surveillance camera showed the man wearing a black hooded jacket with "GEORGIA" in red letters and a dark cap with a star logo and gold trim.
The robber was wearing sunglasses and white gloves.
