Cobb Fire Department to Donate Engine
A surplus vehicle will be delivered to a New York volunteer firefighting agency that lost a truck in Hurricane Sandy.
The engine is a 1992 Pierce Arrow Red Pumper with 177,292 miles. The handover will take place on Wednesday at Cobb Fire headquarters on 1595 County Services Parkway.
Cobb Fire has an ongoing partnership with the Georgia Chapter of the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund.
The fund has identified a number of departments in the Northeast that suffered the loss of equipment during Hurricane Sandy.
One of those departments is located in West Hamilton Beach. This department sustained the loss of its fire engine and currently does not have an operating truck to respond to calls for fire service delivery.
