A New Look for East Lake

A number of new stores have opened at this large East Cobb shopping center; what else would you like to see there?

One of East Cobb's biggest shopping centers has been undergoing a bit of a transition in recent months, and it's not done yet.

East Lake Shopping Center is vast and varied, anchored by Marshall's, featuring two venerable restaurants, the Wild Wing Cafe and Lemon Grass, and offering a broad range of shops and services.

Most recently, Family Dollar opened in a former video store space and the discount Aldi grocery chain has come into East Lake. Heywood's Provision Company is also new, joining the Cajun Meat Company as a specialty meat provider.

Another relatively new store is the Brewmasters Warehouse and the Park Avenue Thrift store has opened in the last few months, just doors down from the existing Dollar Tree store.

Other popular spots at East Lake include Atlanta DanceCurves, Saporito's Pizza, Marietta Martial Arts, Wolff Tan USA, Hibachi Buffet and the Los Agaves restaurant.

Two businesses that had already been at East Lake have moved to new spaces within the shopping center: GigaBites Cafe, which occupies the former Atlanta Bread location, and Vatan International Grocery. Coming attractions include a Grace Beauty store.

But there's still some empty space. The Professional Cleaners and the Jackson Hewitt Tax Service are gone. So has an AT & T store and a small medical office. The old GigaBites and Vatan spaces are also empty.

What new businesses, shops and stores would you like to see come to East Lake Shopping Center? Please tell us in the comments.
